My personal passions are in computer programming and robotics. I started taking weekly computer programming lessons at Great Minds Robotics (GMR) at the age of 8. Through GMR, I joined their First Lego League (FLL) team in the 5th grade. Then I continued with GMR and was part of their VEX IQ teams in 6th-7th grade. Then in the 8th grade, I wanted to continue on to VEX robotics. Unfortunately, neither GMR or Viewpoint school had a middle school VEX robotics team, so I pursued to be an independent team. I asked Tek Enterprises, Inc. to be a corporate sponsor and that is how “HiTek” – VEX team number 12180B, came to life. I was a "one boy team" in the 8th grade and then in the 9th grade, my sister joined me. Then in the 10th grade, my sister and I transitioned to represent Viewpoint – team 1437V and also join their First Robotics Competition (FRC) team 2584 Flame of the West! Then in my senior year, I had an opportunity to be a part of the Riptide Battlebots team. Now as a freshmen at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), I joined the Caltech Robotics team and look forward to working on autonomous underwater robots.
